Weekly Favorites

Good afternoon, all! What are my favorites this week?

You’re about to find out.

1. Frontera Grill

Mmmm I went here for my birthday last week. There were 6 of us and we all ordered something off the menu that sounded good, and just shared everything.

Pretty much everything we got was amazing… One of the dishes had a spicy sauce that I dumbingly (is that a word) put all over my taco, and it was SO spicy it hurt.

Besides that, great atmosphere, great service, GREAT food!

Now that the weather is getting colder…

2. Hot Chocolate- with marshmallows

hot-chocolateHaven’t had this in years… had it the other night. It was all cold and stormy out, and my boyfriend and I had a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows inside my warm apartment. So cozy and delicious.

3 and 4. These 2 documentaries about North Korea:

Inside NK

This one is with Lisa Ling, where she gets into North Korea posing as a member of an eye-surgeon team. It looks at the malnourishment of their people and the underdeveloped state of their medical field. Really good- worth watching.

Now, this one is a bit more heart-wrenching and gruesome. It is mainly about those who’ve escaped from North Korean prison camps, and lived to tell their story. It also showcases some people who escaped from North Korea into China or South Korea.

Warning: Super depressing

But intellectually stimulating and fascinating from a political and psychological point of view.

And finally,

5. Seth Godin

I recently started one of Seth Godin’s Krypton CoursesĀ and for our first class preparations we had to listen to this interview.

I really enjoyed it, so you should give it a listen!

I hope these inspired you to try something new! Have a great week.
